“You Shall Not Die”- Watch Throwback Video of Late Gospel Artiste, Osinachi Nwachukwu’s Children Praying For Her

A video showing the moment the children of late Gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu, were praying for her at her last birthday, has been shared online.

In the video, the deceased gospel singer was on her knees as her children took turns to pray for her during her birthday last year.

Turn by turn the children prayed for God to grant their mother long life. They prayed for her not to die and for her to continue to sing and win souls for God.

Sadly, she passed away last Friday from injuries she allegedly sustained after she was allegedly attacked by her husband, Peter Nwachukwu.

Watch the throwback video below …

Who was Osinachi Nwachukwu?
Osinachi Nwachukwu was one of Nigeria’s most popular gospel artists, with her voice described as “angelic”. She featured on the 2017 hit gospel song Ekwueme, which has 71 million YouTube views. Many Nigerians, especially Christians, have reacted with sorrow and anger to the news of her death.
What happens to Osinachi?
Osinachi’s sister, who is the first daughter of the family and was identified as Ms Favor Made, confirmed the reports on Sunday, saying that Osinachi died as a result of a cluster of blood in the chest. She said the late suffered from a blood clot after the kicking she received from her husband, Peter Nwachukwu.
How did Osinachi meet her husband?
How did Osinachi meet Nwachukwu?
It was where they went for a program. Nwachukwu saw how my sister was ministering; he then fell in love with her.
Osinachi’s Husband

The husband, Mr Peter Nwachukwu hit her with his leg on the chest. All these while, he had been beating her but my sister hid all that she was passing through from us.

Before now, we told her to come out of the marriage, we told her that they are not divorcing, that it’s just separation. But she felt that God is against divorce.

We told her that separation is not a sin but just for her to stay alive and take care of her children. She will always tell us to relax that the man will change.

So, when the man kicked her on the chest, she fell down and he took her to the hospital but he did not even tell us.  It was her friend who lives in Ebonyi state that called her twin sister, because Osinachi has a twin sister, to ask, ‘did your sister tell you that Peter hit her on the chest? the sister then told her no.  It was the hitting on the chest that killed her.   My brother had to ask doctor what killed her and doctor said that there were clusters of blood on her chest. Unfortunately, they did not tell the doctor that she was kicked on the chest because; doctor could have known what to do if he had idea of what happened.  Each time we talked to her, she will be pleading for peace and if we move to act, she will tell us no, that we should calm down.

Where was your sister residing and how many children did she have? Also, where is her husband now?

My late sister, Osinachi was living in Abuja with her husband and four children, three boys and one girl.  My younger brother who had gone to see the children said Nwachukwu was not arrested; he is in his house in Abuja. When my brother got there, the children were so happy to see him and they told him that they want to come and see their grandmother who is my mother.

Police have arrested the husband of a top Nigerian gospel singing star, Osinachi Nwachukwu, after she died on Friday in an Abuja hospital.

Initial reports said the 42-year old had been sick with throat cancer, but her family deny that, alleging she had been a victim of domestic abuse.

Her husband Peter Nwachukwu has not yet commented.

A police spokesperson said an investigation was underway to determine the cause of her death.

Many Nigerians, especially Christians, have reacted with sorrow and anger to the news of her death.

Some have gone online to urge religious leaders not to advise church members to stay in abusive relationships. Domestic violence has also been trending on social media.

The popular church that previously employed Nwachukwu as lead singer, Dunamis International Gospel Centre, has not yet commented on her death, but says it will soon.

The church shared a short video with the BBC that said it taught its congregation that it is better to be single and alive than to die in an abusive marriage.
