We Rise Foundation Graduates 10 Students To Mark Ace Journalist Birthday

We Rise foundation in partnership with Impact Her Initiative, IHI, have graduated eight Students in baking and catering, styling and Fashion in an empowerment programme organized to mark the birthday of Ace Journalist, Elizabeth Osayande.

The programme which was done as a give-back-to-the-society by Mrs. Osayande, saw participants of the three weeks empowerment program displayed their handiwork which was examined and tested by the guests present at the graduation.

In her speech the celebrant and founder, We Rise Foundation, thanked everyone for their participation and enjoined the grandaunts to make use of the skills they have learnt and change their stories.

“It’s with great pleasure I welcome everyone to the graduation ceremony of the participants for the three weeks free empowerment program.


The program is done as a give-back-to-the-society, to mark my birthday.
This program achieved its aim, because not only were women trained, they were also able to replicate what they had learnt. Thus the empowerment program was tagged “Project Learn and Perfect a Skill”.

I enjoin the graduants to make use of the skills they have learnt and change their stories. I look forward to seeing them at the top. Thanks everyone for honoring us with your presence”.

In her congratulatory speech the Program Coordinator and President, Impact HER Initiative, Mrs. Chioma Mordi, told the grandaunts to put to good use what they have learnt and also to empower others.

“I congratulate you for having the time and patients to listen and learn in this three weeks, it is something important, I implore all of you to put all you have learnt in good use and also impact others”. She said.

One of the participants Mercy Onwuka said he was grateful for information and craft she had learnt during the three weeks programme and also thanked the organizes for the opportunity.

“I’m so grateful today for what I have learnt in this programme and I believe I will put it to good use and I also thank the organizers for this great opportunity”. She said.
