We are in this race to bring back the glory of Edo State – Paul Obazele

One Foremost Governorship Candidates in the November 2024 Edo Election, Mr. Paul Obazele has said that his aim in governance is to bring Edo State to the future.

Speaking with the global voice for good governance, the famous actor and candidate to the Labour Party expressed that he is in the race to bring back the glory of Edo state and for the emancipation of Edolites.

” I am in this race to bring back the GLORY of Edo State and for the emancipation of Edolites.

Labour Party as you may or may not be aware is a social democratic party formed in 2002 as the party for Social democracy. The constitution of the party is explicit on its ideology which is built on social democracy . It aims to promote social democratic principles & ideals for the purpose of achieving social justice, progress and unity. That exactly is what our presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi stands for. That is what I stand for. And that is what will get Nigeria back on track from where it is presently.

Curbing corruption and preventing needless debt crisis are important issues in any government. Plugging every leakage shall be the order of the day; contract or not. My administration shall apply the EUROPEAN UNION style of contract awards whereby projects are strictly supervised at every stage before funds are approved upon successful completion at each stage. Names of those involved in pilfering or defrauding govt shall be published and prosecuted.

It is commonly expected that individuals running for office have contributed to the development of their society in some way. I have contributed in more ways than can capture in a few lines. Especially in the area of human capacity (trainings), IDP support.” He said.
