Trump Labels Iran ‘Middle East Loser,’ Warns of Severe Strikes

President Donald Trump on Saturday mocked Iran as the “Loser of the Middle East” and warned that the United States could strike the country “very hard,” hinting at the possibility of expanding attacks to new targets.

Posting on his Truth Social platform, Trump said: “Today Iran will be hit very hard! Under serious consideration for complete destruction and certain death, because of Iran’s bad behavior, are areas and groups of people that were not considered for targeting up until this moment in time.”

His remarks came after Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian declared that Iran would never surrender to Israel or the United States. Pezeshkian also apologized to neighboring Gulf states for Iran’s missile and drone attacks, emphasizing that Tehran would not target its neighbors unless provoked.

Trump referenced this apology, claiming Iran “has apologized and surrendered to its Middle East neighbors, and promised that it will not shoot at them anymore. This promise was only made because of the relentless U.S. and Israeli attack.”

He added, “Iran is no longer the ‘Bully of the Middle East.’ They are, instead, ‘THE LOSER OF THE MIDDLE EAST,’ and will be for many decades until they surrender or, more likely, completely collapse!”

The tension follows ongoing U.S. and Israeli campaigns against Iran that began on February 28, with Iran retaliating through missile and drone strikes on Israel and U.S. interests in the Gulf region.
