President Bola Tinubu on Saturday approved the appointment of Mrs. Mojisolaoluwa Kehinde Alli-Macaulay, a former Lagos lawmaker as the Executive Director (Operations) of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF).
In October 2020 there were reports on how Nigerians exposed Alli-Macaulay for hoarding COVID-19 relief materials meant for residents and later using same as party packs at her birthday event.
The female lawmaker at that time had diverted the palliatives meant for her constituents and repackaged same as birthday party packs as seen in photographs which went viral after the event.
Meanwhile, Tinubu, four years later, gifted the former lawmaker the appointment of an executive director.
According to a release by Ajuri Ngelale, Tinubu also appointed Mr. Oluwaseun Faleye as the new Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF).
“Mr. Faleye is a legal and corporate finance specialist. Mrs. Alli-Macaulay is a former lawmaker and former Chairperson of the Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Women Affairs, Poverty Alleviation, and Job Creation.
“The President anticipates a comprehensive re-positioning of the NSITF for enhanced social protection and qualitative service delivery to the Nigerian people,” his statement said.
