Twala, however, had a welcome surprise upon her arrival at Lagos’ Murtala Muhammed International Airport on Friday. Locals welcomed her with open arms, and a brass band was among them. The response was in stark contrast to her earlier worries.
Twala expressed her joy at the warm welcome she received in an interview on Beat FM’s morning show. “Honestly, I’ve always wanted to come to Nigeria,” she admitted. I didn’t anticipate it to be this way, with a whole band welcoming me. I merely imagined traveling to Nigeria as an ordinary South African person, attempting to understand and experience the local culture. Then, when I arrived here, it was just incredible.
Twala has been concentrating on her nonprofit since she won Big Brother Titans two months ago and took home the US $100,000 (R1.7 million) prize money. Her most recent venture, Active Lifestyle, features a fitness app and her own line of athletic wear. Twala said, “There are a few things I’m working on,” to show her eagerness for the undertaking.
Twala has been chosen to host the upcoming Nigeria Community Excellence Awards in South Africa in addition to her personal endeavors. The occasion honors excellence within the nation’s Nigerian community. Twala expressed her gratitude for being selected as the event’s ambassador and emphasized the significance of South Africans joining Nigerians and people from other African nations to celebrate Nigeria’s accomplishments.
Twala joined other Big Brother Titans competitors over the weekend to celebrate Victor Panwal’s birthday, strengthening the relationship they already had.
