Nigerian professional footballer and national team captain, Ahmed Musa, has seen his contract with Turkish Super Lig side, Fatih Karagumruk terminated.
The top-tier Turkish football club announced the development on its official social media platforms on Friday, September 2, 2022.
Truetells Nigeria understands that Musa joined the club last summer as a free agent. The Super Eagles captain has a year left on his contract at the club but they parted ways with mutual understanding.
Musa had made only three league appearances for Fatih Karagumuruk this season.
“We have parted ways by mutual agreement with professional football player Ahmed Musa, who was included in our squad in the 2021-22 season.
“We would like to thank Ahmed Musa for his services to our club and wish him success in his future football career,” the club wrote on its official Twitter page.
Recall that the 29-year-old striker was also released by Saudi Arabia Professional League club, Al Nassr before the end of his contract.
Musa had a brief stint with four-time Nigeria Professional Football League champions, Kano Pillars before moving to Turkey.
