The police community relations committee (PCRC) in collaboration with Nigerian Policing Programme (NPP) has held a stakeholders meeting, aimed at discussing the annual policing plan 2020 for Lagos state.

The meeting which was held at a Ogudu community attracted the presence of representatives from the police and PCRC members and also members of Lagos community.
In his speech the Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Taiwo Kasumu, said that the meeting is to talk about the annual policing plan and how it affects the community.
“ This meeting is to talk about the annual policing plan and how it affects the community, looking at ways which the community can be policed effectively.
It is to get the response of the community members so as to give a better feedback to the government.” He said
“The crime statistics last year helped us in policing the community as the Rapid Response Squad RSS was deployed to some strategic areas which help a lot in combating crime.” He concluded.
In a chat with TruetellsNigeria the state intervention manager, Nigerian Policing Programme NPP said that the town hall meeting is to seek community impute to the policing plan.

The essence of the meeting is to bring the communities together to know the priority crime that is peculiar to them”. He said
Also speaking the chairman police community relations committee, Apostle Kehinde Showemimo said the meeting is to bring the community members and the police together to discuss how best the police can work to combat crime in their communities.
“ The aim of PCRC is to bring the police nearer to the community in a way of partnering with the police to safeguard the communities, because it will be easier for the community to support the police when they are in partnership. “ He said
“We are gathered here today for the police to reveal their policing plan to the community so that the community members will know ways to help the police with proper information to police the state.” He concluded.
