Pastor Abraham Daniel, a former Dunamis International Gospel Centre minister, has accused Pastor Paul Enenche, founder and Senior Pastor of the church, of failing to honour a gentleman’s agreement between them.

Daniel told SaharaReporters on Wednesday that Pastor Paul Enenche and the church management had refused to provide for the replacement of his car, 2004 Corolla, which was damaged in 2020 when he was trailed by Pastor Paul Enenche over alleged blackmail against him and his church.

The minister had earlier told SaharaReporters how Pastor Enenche falsely accused him and had him imprisoned on trumped-up charges.

Daniel had said Enenche and other pastors were angry at him for leaving the church while also claiming that he (Daniel) publicly criticised Enenche in his Facebook posts that revealed the activities of the church.

Narrating his ordeal to SaharaReporters, Daniel said while he was in prison, he lost his business while his wife also moved away with their five children on the influence of the church.

According to Daniel, after resigning from his position as a pastor, he was accused of embezzling the church’s funds through a post sponsored by the church on Nairaland, a micro-blogging site and other news platform.

He was thereafter accused of posting about Eneche on Facebook, which led to his detention for three weeks at the Suleja Prison, Abuja.

Speaking to SaharaReporters on Wednesday, Daniel said after SaharaReporters’ story, Enenche decided to have an agreement with him at the Force Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department where the parties agreed on an out-of-court settlement.

Daniel added that Enenche promised to replace his car which was damaged during the time he was being trailed.

“It can be called a gentleman’s agreement. It was when we met at the FCID in order to withdraw the case, I brought my own (my conditions), they brought their own (their conditions too). It was a gentleman’s agreement, no lawyer, and nothing was drafted like a legal term.

“Their lawyer and the police that came to arrest me even met me at scene of the accident.”

While commenting on the alleged blackmailing, Daniel said, “There was a write up I wrote that time(in 2020), because they were intervening in my marriage. My ex was always going to send them with my children and all of that.

I told them to hands off of my family. So, I wrote that if anything happens to me or my children, they would be responsible.”

He also revealed how his family had been struggling to make ends meet since his car was damaged. He noted that the car was the sole item he relied on to feed his five children, a task which is currently difficult due to the refusal of Enenche and the church to honour the agreement.
