The vice presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa, was reportedly disgraced at the presidential debate currently taking place in Abuja.
Truetells Nigeria earlier reported that the Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD) in collaboration with Arise Television, organised the debate which is expected to be attended by the four leading candidates.
The debate will take place at 7 pm on Sunday at the Congress Hall of the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.
The presidential candidates expected at the debate are Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) and the New Nigeria Peoples Party’s Rabiu Kwankwaso.
However, the PDP presidential candidate was not available at the start of the programme but was represented by his running mate.
In a video shared from the venue, some Nigerians were seen asking Governor Okowa to leave the podium because the debate is for presidential candidates.
Moments later, the Delta governor was allowed to stand in for the PDP presidential candidate, who was said to be on his way from Morocco.
