The Lagos State Government and the Governing Board of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) have approved the use of an organised car parking with the premises of the teaching hospital.
This was done in a bid to resolve the recent chaotic parking situation within the premises.
As observed by the Management of the Hospital, the prime location of the hospital and the commercial adjoining areas have turned the hospital to a parking lot for people who have nothing to do within the premises.
The Governor of the state, His Excellency, Mr. Babajide Sanwoolu in consultation with the office of the Public Private Partnership approved the recommendation of Messrs Balosh to manage the scheme.
The scheme has a provision for designated staff parking areas, free areas for vehicles to drop sick patients and move, fee paying car park areas for medium and long stay visitors.
The management assured the public that this step is taken in the best interest of commuters within the premises.
