The General Overseer/Snr Pastor, Overcomers Pentecostal Prayer Assembly and the National President of All Christian Leaders/Ministers’ Forum, ACLMF, Rev.Dr. Sam Ogedengbe, has urged Nigerians to continue praying and give President Tinubu time to salvage the nation’s economy.
Rev. Ogedengbe, who was the former Senior Special Assistant to the former Governor of Lagos State on Christian Religious Matters described Tinubu as a true democrat who is working earnestly to fulfill all his electoral promises for the prosperity of the citizens and is currently putting all necessary torch to all as may be deemed fit for the country.
Ogedengbe, who spoke with journalists at the headquarters of his Church in Lagos on Sunday, admitted that Nigerians are currently grappling with economic hardship, but quickly reminded the populace that we should not forget that the present administration met a decay and almost moribund economic, which, without any iota of doubt, need to be holistically studied and properly understood, hence the current ‘feet dragging’ as may be presently experienced.
“There is no doubt the Nigerians are currently grappling with economic hardship, but let me remind all of us not to forget that the present administration met a decay and almost moribund economic, which, without any iota of doubt, need to be holistically studied and properly understood, hence the current ‘feet dragging’ as may be presently experienced. But let me appeal that we should give him time, which I know wouldn’t be a long, he would definitely deliver even more than our expectations”, Ogedengbe said.
He said the President meant well for Nigerians. He will not gain anything deliberately inflicting pains on Nigerians, just as he urged that Nigerians should be praying for him to succeed, because according to him ‘his success is our success’.
He also advised the labour not to frustrate his plan for the workers but they should work and collaborate with him because he, Asiwaju’ himself is a welfarist, who doesn’t want anybody to suffer, how much more those that labour day in, day out to salvage the country.
“The Labour should not frustrate his plan for the workers, but let them work with him. The Asiwaju Tinubu I know, would not anybody talk less of his workers to suffer. I am sure by now, he would have gotten his plan of making workers in the country happy, even more than their expectations. He is a welfarist to the core. So let us cooperate and support him to succeed”
“The government will continue to strengthen our economy by investing in industries and promoting local production, develop agricultural value chain, which will help reduce our dependence on imports and crude oil, and would not forget ameliorating the current infrastructure decay and improving the social-economic stability of the country,” he said.
Ogedengbe also appealed to fellow men of God to as a matter of duty continue praying for the nation as well as for the President and his team to fully succeed in the task ahead, which without doubt any doubt would be fruitful and highly rewarding for all.
He also facilitate with the Muslim brothers and sisters on the gracious occasion of the Eid-El-Kabir celebration.
