Retired Jamaican sprinter, Usain Bolt congratulated Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan, after she smashed the world record in the Women’s 100 metres hurdles, to win gold at the World Athletics Championships in Oregon, USA.
Bolt took to Twitter to celebrate Amusan’s feat.
“Congratulations,” he added.
Jamaican athlete also wrote, “Superb #Tobi.”
Amusan became the first Nigerian athlete to win a gold medal in the World Athletics Championship when she stormed to victory in the women’s 100m hurdles in Oregon on Sunday, July 24, within 12.06 seconds, shattering the world record of 12:20 seconds set by Kendra Harrison of U. S. in the semi-finals.
