In a bid to showcase the hidden talents of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC youth), the Convener of Jerimoyamah Concert USA,and the Jerimoyamah Concert USA’s GOT TALENT AWARDS (JGTA), Olufemi Hamed ( Femi Oracle),has announced the maiden edition of the much awaited annual program.
In a recent interview, Femi Oracle revealed there are ongoing preparations as the CCC Naija Talent of the Yr Awards( NTOYA) will be held on November 7th , 2024
Explaining the significance of the event which started last year as a pilot program, he said there are buried talents among the youth of CCC and is about time to expose them to the world for people to see the wonders of God in His church.
While discussing the mother event, Jerimoyamah Concert USA 5th edition, he said the CCC Naija Talent of the yr Awards is another way of giving back to society.
He said, “Jerimoyamah Concert USA is an Africa charity gospel concert. It is the largest Celestial Church of Christ concert in North America today, to the glory of God and still counting. Our vision is to evangelize the world through celestial music and culture since we believe CCC is going to cleanse the world according to our prophetic hymns, and this is our way of contributing to that vision.
“We are also giving back to the community as a concert. For years now we gave back to the local community, but last year we decided to increase this spectrum, by giving back to the celestial community, and we initiated the Naija Talent of the year Awards( NTOYA) which was a pilot and test run. People loved it and the reception was incredible.
“Specifically, we received the instruction from the Lord to continue and expand the program, in response to alot of prayers from several youth members who have asked for the opportunity, and also open doors to different artistes to showcase their talents before God on a global stage. That is what we will be doing with the concert and the talent of the year.”
Speaking further, Hamed said there will be a whooping cash prize of N750,000 to the best winner and other prizes to encourage participation.
He said part of the original idea is to nurture millionaires from the initiative, and hopefully, the cash prizes will bump into millions in coming editions.
“The star Prize is #750,000. God willing, in the near future, we can bump that amount up to about a million. Part of our goal is to make millionaires out of the celestial youth. The reason we have limited this to CCC is because we have very few platforms that give CCC members the opportunity to showcase their talents. If you look at all other similar programs out there, both in Nigeria and abroad, you will find there is no focus on Celestial church of Christ or its talents, even though we understand that the church itself has become an industry, and people see and harvest alot of potential talents in the church. The church leadership itself has not done much to develop these potential talents, which has resulted in a mass exodus from the church.”
“The lack of attention on these talents, suitable platforms, and development of these immeasurable talents in the church are responsible for us focusing on Celestial youth members right now. If God gives the instruction to extend to other denominations, we will do that, but right now, the assignment is to focus on CCC members to bring that pride back into our church. Imagine several unknown youth members becoming winners, and the whole world begins to celebrate them,” he said.
In his good will message he urged everyone to participate by watching “out” for Jerimoyamah Concert USA 5th edition( JC5.0), and the CCC NTOYA 2024 or CCC Naija Talent of the year awards 2024 edition. He stressed that in the future, they are going to bring the initiative to the Nigerian ccc choirs, too.
“Being a member of the church is fun, being a youth and choir member is fun, and we are not taking that for granted. This is getting ready to become the next big thing, and by doing this we will be putting the church on national and global scenery so that the World can see Celestial church of Christ for who we truly should be,and not what they think we are. We are a spiritual church, we love spiritual music, we have talent, talent that has been taken, stolen, rented, bought by other denominations, and talent that we now intend to celebrate”
