Sunday Igboho’s Residence Under Attacked 72 hours to Lagos Rally

Sunday Igboho House is under military attack.

Truetells Nigeria  reports that the residence of Yoruba rights activist, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, in the Soka area of Ibadan, Oyo State, southwest Nigeria, has been attacked by the military.

This online news platform understands , his spokesman, Olayemi Koiki revealed in a post on social media, Facebook via his official Facebook page, Koiki Media on Thursday morning, July 1.

 

Sunday Igboho’s spokesman wrote on Facebook: ‘Chief Sunday Igboho’s house under military attack’.

Koiki, who said Sunday Igboho house was attacked around 1am on Thursday, also alleged the identities of the attackers to be soldiers of the Nigerian military.

 

What to know on Sunday Igboho house attack

“I can confirm that those who came are definitely Nigerian soldiers. There are more than 100 soldiers that came but he (Sunday Igboho) is currently safe,” Koiki said.

Truetells Nigeria reports that purported attack on Sunday Igboho house is coming hours to a planned rally for the secession of ‘Yoruba Nation’ in Lagos State.

This reliable online news platform understands that Sunday Igboho has been going across the South-West geopolitical zone to crusade his secessionist campaign, citing injustice meted on the people of the region as well as worsening insecurity.

Today’s attack on Sunday Igboho house is one of the many reported attacks on Sunday Igboho and his Ibadan residence since January 2021 when he issued a seven-day ultimatum to killer herders in the Ibarapa area of Oyo State.

Truetells Nigeria  had earlier reported that one of Sunday Igboho’s houses in Ibadan, Oyo State, was burnt by unidentified persons.

Meanwhile, as at the time of filing this report, Truetells Nigeria understands that the Nigerian Army has not reacted to the alleged invasion as of the time of writing this report.
