In a recent announcement on X, FIRS confirmed it is recruiting for Officer I and Officer II roles across various Nigerian locations.
The agency has encouraged a diverse range of candidates, including women, minorities, and individuals with disabilities, to apply.
Positions are available in Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo, Ekiti, Lagos, and Oyo, although applicants should be aware that they may be assigned to any FIRS office nationwide.
Prospective candidates must meet several requirements to apply:
– Age: Applicants should be no older than 27 by December 31, 2024.
– NYSC Completion: Candidates must have completed their National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) by December 31, 2021.
– Education: A Bachelor’s Degree or HND with at least a First Class or Second Class Upper Division in fields such as Accounting, Actuarial Science, Computer Engineering, Economics, Law, Mathematics, or similar areas.
A relevant master’s degree or professional certification (such as ICAN, ACCA, ANAN, COREN, or NSE) is considered an asset.
Shortlisted applicants will proceed through several assessment stages, which may include aptitude tests, interviews, and medical evaluations.
FIRS advised applicants to be cautious of fraudulent recruitment schemes and to use only its official application portal at www.firs.gov.ng/careers.
The application period will close on November 14, 2024, and applicants are reminded to submit only one application per preferred location, as multiple entries will be disqualified.
