South-East Governors Have Launched Regional Security Outfit Codenamed EBUBEAGU To Combat Insecurity.

Truetells Nigeria reports that South-East Governors and Stakeholders after Sunday emergency meeting Sunday agreed to set a regional security outfit, EBUBEAGU.

This online news platform gathered that the new regional security squad is to be known as Ebubeagu, meaning the glory of a Lion.

Governor of Ebonyi State, Dave Umahi who is the Chairman Southeast governors forum disclosed the launch of EBUBEAGU security outfit to newsmen at the Imo government house, alongside other Southeast governors.

According to him, the EBUBEAGU regional security would be a joint Vigilante from Southeast with headquarters in Enugu state.

The President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide, Professor George Obiozor as well as top security chiefs in the zone joined Abia state governor Okezuo Ikpeazu, Anambra Willie Obiano, that of Enugu Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Ebonyi Dave Umahi and the host governor, Hope Uzodimma of Imo state.
