Sola Giwa has resigned from his role as Special Adviser on Transportation to Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, in a move aimed at pursuing a legislative position.
The announcement was made on Wednesday through his official 𝕏 account, where he disclosed that he had formally exited the position a day earlier.
During his time in the administration, Giwa played a role in advancing transportation policies aligned with the government’s THEMES+ agenda, contributing to efforts to improve mobility across Lagos State.
He expressed appreciation to the governor for the opportunity to serve, acknowledging the trust placed in him while overseeing transportation matters.
Giwa explained that his resignation followed careful deliberation and consultations, as he prepares to transition into elective politics.
He is set to contest for the Lagos Island Federal Constituency II seat in the House of Representatives, where he aims to focus on lawmaking and delivering effective representation for his constituents at the national level.
According to him, the decision marks the beginning of a new chapter in his public service career, with a commitment to making meaningful contributions through legislative duties.
