Six Reasons You Should Apply for the MTN-MUSON Scholarship Programme.

MTN Foundation in partnership with the Musical Society of Nigeria (MUSON) has commenced applications for the 2023 edition of the Diploma in Music scholarship program. It is an opportunity for music enthusiasts to hone their skills, learn from the best and acquire quality music education.

Here are six reasons you should consider applying for the program;

  1. Fully-funded scholarship; The MTNF-MUSON Diploma in Music scholarship is fully-funded, and it covers tuition, books and transportation. The diploma course offers advanced training in music with majors in any of the following; Piano, Organ, Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Percussion, Classical Guitar, and Voice. You get to pick any of the majors that suit you and learn for free, provided you meet all the eligibility requirements.

  1. Learning from the best; As a MUSON Scholar, you get to learn from the best music facilitators in the country. You get to learn from music legends like Princess Banke Ademola, Sir. Emeka Nwokedi, amongst others.

  1. Practical learning; The MUSON School of Music is fully equipped with instruments to aid practical learning. So, you don’t have to be worried about spending so much on musical instruments. The MTN Foundation also recently equipped the school of music with a state-of-the-art studio to aid music learning and music production. The school has everything you need, all you have to do is come willing to learn.

  1. Participation in music productions; MUSON is known for a few annual musical productions. As a MUSON scholar, you will have the opportunity to be part of some of these productions, which provide a great learning experience. In April, gospel artist, Frank Edwards partnered with alumni and students of the School of Music for his Dominus Omnium concert.

  1. Internationally recognised certificate; Upon graduation, the scholars will receive an internationally recognized certificate. Scholars can use the certificate to pursue further music studies abroad.

  1. Strong alumni community; The best part of the scholarship is that you get to be part of a strong alumni community at the end of the two-year program. The MUSON Diploma in Music program has been around for over 16 years, therefore you get to be part of a community with experienced people who are willing to help and guide you as you navigate post-graduation life.

So what are you waiting for, visit https://muson.org/diploma-school/ to apply and get more details on the application process before the deadline on August 18, 2023.
