Truetells Nigeria reports that the incident reportedly occurred in Asaba, the Delta State capital, where the singer had a show.
A video shared online shows the young man bleeding from a cut close to his eyes, with some people heard accusing Teni of being responsible for the attack.
A friend of the victim who shared the video claimed that the Nigerian police witnessed the incident but made no attempt to intervene.
The post read: “Teni Makanaki rebuffed my friend’s cheers and instructed her bouncers to assault him. This happened at the Dome Event Center, Asaba. Police officer witnessed the assault but made no attempt to intervene and the artist drove off without one question.”
Teni recently gifted one of her former teachers in Apata Memorial High School, Ikeja, Lagos State, a Lexus car in commemoration of the 2022 Teachers Day.
One of the teachers in the school owned by the singer’s late father made this known via Facebook on Wednesday.
According to the teacher, Mr Ofudje taught Teni back in the day, and the singer came back to thank him for his impact by gifting him a car.
Sharing the pictures and video of the car presentation by Teni, the teacher wrote: “And Teni surprised one of our teachers today with a lexus car.
