A video is currently circulating widely online that purportedly shows Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, known globally as 2Face (2Baba), being arrested by police officers in London, United Kingdom.
The footage, shared initially by blogger Tosin Silverdam on TikTok, shows several officers engaging with the singer outside what appears to be a retail establishment. The clip then shows the music star being escorted away by police with his hands secured behind his back in handcuffs.
This viral clip emerged just hours after a separate video surfaced online. That earlier video allegedly showed a woman, believed to be 2Baba’s wife, Osawaru Natasha, shouting at him inside a London shop. The woman was reportedly heard accusing the singer of repeatedly yelling at her.
While the video appears to show an arrest, the full details surrounding the incident are currently unclear. Furthermore, UK authorities have not yet released any official statement confirming that an arrest took place.
This incident follows earlier reports from October that also claimed 2Baba had been detained in London following a different alleged altercation with his wife, Natasha.
The singer strongly denied those previous claims, stating at the time that his inability to perform at a scheduled UK tour stop on October 2, 2025, was due to a sudden health issue, not a domestic dispute.
Following the October incident, 2Baba used an Instagram post to thank the fans who attended the show despite his absence and promised to reschedule the performances.
“First of all, I want to say to everyone that came out, I appreciate you. We had a medical emergency, it was tough. To the organisers and everyone that came out, we go regroup and make something beautiful happen,” 2Baba said.
He reportedly used that moment to criticize individuals spreading unverified claims online, strongly emphasizing the need for fact-checking before sharing information.
“If una no sabi something, make una no talk abeg. This ‘allegedly’, I don tire,” 2Baba reportedly said.
