Saint Obi’s Wife Opens Up On Husband’s Demise

Linda, the wife of late Nollywood actor, Obinna Nwafor, popularly known as Saint Obi, has opened up on the demise of her husband, saying she will miss him greatly.

recalls that the movie star, who died on May 7, was laid to rest last week in his hometown of Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State.

In videos posted by the publisher of Yes! Magazine, Azuh Arinze, Saint Obi’s wife said it is difficult to accept that her husband is dead as the painful demise has left the family sad.

She said, “I believe our (she and Saint Obi) meeting was divinely orchestrated. You were highly domesticated. I miss you. I still don’t know how to feel. This should not have happened. It is very difficult to accept that you are gone, that my children will no longer have a father, and I will not hold your hulky frame again. My children and I pray for you daily. Your death has left us despondent. Losing you to the cold hands of death is my deepest sorrow. Nothing can heal the pain inside. I love you and always have.”

Also, the deceased’s first son, Chidera, noted that his dad’s death had forced him to become a man and grow up in leadership.

He described his late father as a fantastic actor who brought smiles to people’s faces and promised to protect his mother from the preying eyes of the press like his father did.

He said, “Thank you for teaching me the way of life. I know you are watching over me. I have been forced to grow up into leadership. I will lead, dad. I will protect my mum and siblings, especially from the preying press, as you did while you were here. I will always love you, till we meet again.”

Obi’s only daughter, Nnemdi, said, “Dad, I just want you to know that I love you very much and I miss you. You will always be in my heart and I will always remember the fun times we shared. I wished you lived longer with us. You were a good actor. That is why I want to act and draw. I know you will not be here to watch me grow and do great things. Please watch over me, mummy and my brothers from heaven. I love you.”
