Residents break into warehouse in Plateau state, loot COVID-19 palliatives

Residents on Saturday, broke into a COVID -19 palliatives warehouse in the Bukuru community in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State and carted away food items.

It was gathered that the residents gained entrance into the warehouse belonging to the State Emergency Management Agency after breaking into the premises around 9 am.

A resident of the area who witnessed the looting said the security operatives initially tried to disperse them when they mobilised to the warehouse but could not do much as the residents resisted them.

 

Some of the items looted include cartons of noodles, bags of rice, pasta, beans, among others.
