Ralf Rangnick Takes Over As Manchester United’s Coach

Ralf Rangnick have taken over as Manchester United’s new interim manager.

 

Former RB Leipzig and Schalke boss Ralf Rangnick has already outlined the importance of getting recruitment bang on the money, amid the fact that he is set to become Manchester United’s new interim manager.

The Manchester Evening News understands that the Reds, following Paris Saint-Germain’s decision to knock back the club’s approach for Mauricio Pochettino earlier this week, have reached an agreement with Rangnick for him to take the club forward until the end of the season.

United, after making the decision to sack Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on Sunday, decided that they would look to put an interim manager in place on a deal until the end of the campaign. However, they felt they had a chance of bringing PSG chief Pochettino to the club ahead of next summer, but saw their opening move rejected. He remains a target for next summer.

Initially, Rangnick is understood to have turned down the prospect of taking over at Old Trafford. However, after being presented with new and improved terms he has now agreed to take on the job.
