Protest is currently trending on social media platform, X, following the Supreme Court verdict which upheld the victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the February 25 presidential election.
Truetells Nigeria reports that the apex court on Thursday dismissed the appeals by the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, and his Labour Party (LP) counterpart Peter Obi.
While some Nigerians shunned the call for protest, saying it would not yield any result like in the past, others claimed they were not expecting a ruling that would favour the opposition parties.

There are several peaceful gatherings that have been held, did you come out to join any? Sometimes y’all just tweet from the comfort of your sitting room without objective thinking. Instead of gaslighting people, lead one and ask people to join you.”
