In other news, the management of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has confirmed that the Minister of Art, Culture and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, is still undertaking the one-year mandatory youth service scheme.
NYSC stated this in reaction to a claim by a civil society organization, the Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria (HURIWA), that Musawa is a serving corp member and also a minister.
HURIWA also claimed that the culture minister’s place of primary assignment is a law firm in Abuja and has failed to show up for duty for a while.
In a chat with TheCable on Thursday, the NYSC Spokesman, Eddy Megwa, confirmed that the minister is a serving corps member.
