What Oba Of Lagos Did When Peter Obi Tried To Visit Him

Meanwhile, the Labour Party’s (LP) chairman in Lagos State, Dayo Ekong, has alleged that the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, was denied access to the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, during his campaign rally in the state on Saturday.

Speaking about Obi’s campaign rally and the criticism that followed the former Anambra governor for not visiting the Oba of Lagos, Ekong, during an interview with Arise TV, disclosed that they were told the monarch was not available to receive him.

Asked why Obi did not visit the Oba, Ekong said, “People should not say what they have no information about. Peter Obi respects culture. He visits traditional rulers in every state before going to campaign.
