Eleven days before the 2023 general election, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, stormed Computer Village in the Ikeja area of Lagos State to woo electorates.
The former governor of Anambra State and his running mate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed and other party stakeholders were at the Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos earlier on Saturday for their presidential campaign rally, Truetells Nigeria reports.
Obi, however, thrilled residents and businessmen on Monday after he stormed Computer Village waiving at the crowd who came out to welcome him, were chanting in Igbo, saying, “Obi, Obi, Obi we will follow. If he is going or coming, Obi, we will follow”.
Recall that Obi had earlier visited Alaba international market.

Meanwhile, the Labour Party’s (LP) chairman in Lagos State, Dayo Ekong, has alleged that the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, was denied access to the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, during his campaign rally in the state on Saturday.
Speaking about Obi’s campaign rally and the criticism that followed the former Anambra governor for not visiting the Oba of Lagos, Ekong, during an interview with Arise TV, disclosed that they were told the monarch was not available to receive him.
Asked why Obi did not visit the Oba, Ekong said, “People should not say what they have no information about. Peter Obi respects culture. He visits traditional rulers in every state before going to campaign.
