PDP Receives Over 5000 APC Members In Kogi State

The Kogi State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has ahead of the 2023 general elections, received no fewer than 5000 defectors from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Truetells Nigeria understands that the defectors were received into the opposition camp on Sunday in Avrugo and neighbouring ward in Igalamela/Odolu Local Government area of the state.

Confirming the development, the former Vice Chairman of Igalamela/Odolu Local Government, Hon Collins Adama, who led other party members to defect to the PDP, said the ruling party has failed woefully.

He urged the citizens to ensure they come out en-mass to vote out bad leadership in the 2023 general election. According to him, any mistake made now will spell doom for the nation.

He also mocked the incumbent government, asking it to be ready to pack its loads from both Kogi State and at the national level.

Truetells Nigeria understands that the defectors were received into the PDP fold yesterday by Igalamela/Odolu Local Government PDP chairman, Hon Attai Ndamusa Salifu and the party State Assembly candidate, Hon Umar Zakito.
