PDP Picks Venue For Its October National Convention

The National Convention of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will hold in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

This was part of the decisions reached at the party’s 92nd National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held in Abuja on Saturday, 28th August, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan confirmed.

It will be recalled Naija News had previously reported that the major opposition party had scheduled October 30 and 31 2021 for the conduct of its national convention.

According to Ologbondiyan on Saturday, the NEC will still meet on September 9th to ratify appointments into the various committees for the convention.

Meanwhile, Governors elected on the platform of the People Democratic on Friday denied calling for the resignation of the National Chairman of the party, Uche Secondus.

The director-general of the governor’s forum, CID Maduabum, stated this in a statement titled, ‘PDP Governors Forum Denies Asking Secondus To Quit.’

Recall that the Kebbi State High Court on Thursday reinstated Secondus who was earlier suspended by then Rivers State High Court.
