Hajiya Hajara Yakubu Wanka, Deputy National Woman Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has resigned to take up an appointment as Commissioner in Governor Bala Mohammed’s administration in Bauchi State.
Her resignation is contained in a letter addressed to the Acting National Chairman of the Party, Ambassador Iliya Damagun.
She noted in the letter that she was given an opportunity by Governor Mohammed to serve as commissioner in his government.
Wanka thanked the national leadership of PDP for the privilege accorded her to serve as Deputy National Woman Leader of the party.
She also thanked Governor Mohammed for the opportunity given to her to serve in his cabinet.
The National Working Committee (NWC) of the PDP congratulated Wanka in a press statement issued on Monday by Hon. Debo Ologunagba, the party’s National Publicity Secretary.
“The PDP congratulates our Deputy National Woman Leader for being found worthy to serve under an exceptionally brilliant, resourceful and thorough administrator, Governor Bala Mohammed and charges her to bring to bear her experience and capacity in this new assignment,” the statement read in part.
