A church building belonging to the Dunamis International Gospel Centre located at Mission Ward North Bank in Makurdi, the Benue State capital has reportedly collapsed and killed a pastor of the church whose full name is yet to be ascertained.
Channels Television reports that the incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday.
Sources said that four members of the church and the deceased pastor were reportedly observing prayers at the church building before it collapsed, but the other three persons escaped the wreckage.
It was further gathered that some residential buildings and electricity infrastructure around the collapsed building were affected.
However, the actual cause of the incident is still unclear, and when contacted, the Benue State Police Public Relations Officer, Anene Sewuese Catherine, said she was not aware of the incident.
But police operatives from the C Division, North Bank, were said to have already been on the ground as emergency officials were on their way to the scene of the collapsed building.
