A Kaduna-based woman (who asked to be anonymous) has been stranded for four days in Lagos State because Air Peace has been postponing her flight daily since Friday.
She told FIJ that she had incurred additional and unplanned costs since Thursday following Air Peace’s consecutive cancellations for four days.
The woman said she was preparing to return to her home in Kaduna on Thursday when she received a message from Air Peace informing her that her Friday flight had been cancelled.
“As if that was not enough, on Friday, they cancelled it again. They said they were cancelling the flight due to sudden, unscheduled maintenance. But it didn’t end there. They cancelled it again and again,” she told FIJ.

She thought she would finally travel home on Monday after three consecutive postponements, but Air Peace sent a similar message on Sunday announcing that her flight had been cancelled.
“This was after they postponed my flight twice on Saturday. I am tired. I should have left Lagos for Kaduna on Friday, but I am still here because Air Peace keeps postponing my flight. I am incurring more costs because of this,” she lamented.

While Air Peace’s messages to this customer stated that they kept cancelling the flight due to maintenance, a representative from the airline blamed the repeated cancellations on technical issues when FIJ contacted the company on Monday.
The airline’s representative apologised for the repeated cancellations and said they would notify FIJ when their Kaduna route was open next.
