There are claims that the gunmen killed two officers and burnt down another police station in Abia State.
Recall that two police stations in the state were razed down by gunmen last week.
Also, the Independent National Electoral Commission and National Drug Law Enforcement Agency offices located at Amaekpu Ohafia were also attacked by unknown gunmen between Monday and Tuesday last week.
In a related development, a fire on Sunday night gutted the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Enugu State.
It was gathered that the fire may have been started by suspected arsonists.
The fire at the headquarter located at number 1 Achi Street by Agric Bank Bus stop in Independence Layout, Enugu, was confirmed to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) by the Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Mohammed Aliyu.
