Former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, on Thursday, hosted the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Uche Secondus in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
It was gathered that the embattled chairman of the main opposition party arrived at the Penthouse of the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) around 12:19 pm alongside other party leaders.
A further report had it that Secondus after his arrival went into a closed-door meeting with the elder statesman.
Secondus visited the former President at a time some stakeholders in the party are calling for his removal.
Recall that some party members stormed the National Secretariat of the party in Abuja asking Secondus to resign.
Secondus, however, vowed not to resign from his position as the Chairman of the party.
Meanwhile, stakeholders in the party reconciled their differences and agreed to form a formidable force.
The Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum, Aminu Tambuwal announced the resolution of the crisis while briefing reporters in Abuja shortly after a two-hour meeting of the party’s stakeholders.
Those present at the meeting to resolve the PDP crisis include 13 governors, the Board of Trustees members, Uche Secondus, and representatives of other organs of the party.
