Nnamdi Kanu Speaking On His Brother Being Behind Kenyan Arrest

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has refuted an allegation levelled against his brother, Kanunta Kanu, and two of his aides, Carolyn Okorafor and Nnennaya Anya.

Several reports emerged last week that the younger brother of the IPOB leader, Kanunta Kanu, and two of his aides, Carolyn Okorafor and Nnennaya Anya had a hand in his arrest in Kenya.

But in a statement signed on Monday by Kanu’s lawyers, Aloy Ejimakor and Ifeanyi Ejiofor, the IPOB leader described the allegation as mischievous, ridiculous and unthinkable.

The legal team stated that both Kanunta and Okorofor are not behind the Biafra activist arrest in Kenya, warning those behind the rumour to desist from spreading fake news.

The statement added that the IPOB leader is pained by the false claims consistently levelled against his associates by some of his followers.

The statement reads: “IMPORTANT NOTICE: Onyendu has directed us to debunk the mischievous allegations that Kanunta Kanu, Carolyn Okoroafor & Nnennaya Anya have a hand in his abduction. He’s pained by such vicious allegations & he demands a retraction.”

Meanwhile, a notorious kidnapper has revealed that he is responsible for his mother-in-law’s abduction.

The 49-year-old man, identified as Bunmi Ogunremi also known as Bunmi Bafon was taken into custody by operatives of the Ado–Ekiti Police Command.

Ogunremi was apprehended alongside a food supplier and vulcanizer who is also their informant.

The suspect also revealed that he and his team were responsible for the kidnap of  Alhaji Sulaimon Akinbami at Ureje in Ado Ekiti while also admitting to being responsible for various crimes in Ekiti and Ondo states.

The suspect said that his most recent crime which he was arrested for was that of his mother-in-law whom he identified as Oladeinde.

He said:” The first job I ever did was that of Akinbami who owns a filling station. The second one is a woman. The third one was in Akure. The fourth one was my mother-in-law”
