Nigerians Call Out Yemisi Edun Led FCMB Over Epileptic Services

First City Monument Bank led by Yemisi Edun is in the bad books of customers who are frustrated over its epileptic services.

“This is not the first time FCMB users would complain of service downtime but the bank has refused to upgrade and it’s really sad”, said Osas a customer of the bank.

FCMB is the brainchild of Otunba Subomi Balogun who is regarded as the doyen of Nigerian banking industry, however it appears that the bank has little or nothing to show for it.

90 year-old Subomi Balogun had groomed his son Ladi Balogun, highly controversial figure to run the affairs of the bank which is his legacy, but his time as the Managing Director of FCMB was one bedeviled with endless controversies.

Ladi was in the middle of too many adultery-related scandals that Murphy Ozohue, husband of socialite, Uju Murphy allegedly accused him of ‘having an affair with his wife’.

It is not clear if the Uju Murphy scandal actually led to Ladi’s marital crisis, but it is a known fact that he parted way with his wife, Banke shortly after.

Ladi Balogun was succeeded by Adam Nuru whose tenure ended abruptly after an adultery scandal almost consumed him and then came the new MD, Yemisi Edun, but it appears that FCMB is not keen about getting its banking operations in other over the years.

As at the time of filing this report, FCMB is topping twitter trend as thousands of aggrieved customers trooped out to vent their anger and frustration over the epileptic services of the bank particularly in the last 48 hours.

At best, it appears that all FCMB knows is to thrive on controversies.
