Nigerian Senate Confirms Tinubu’s Ministerial Nominee Who Collapsed During Screening

 

The Nigerian Senate on Wednesday confirmed Jamila Bio Ibrahim, Balarabe Lawal Abbas and Olawande Ayodele as ministers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria

Balarabe Abbas Lawal is from Kaduna State, Dr Jamila Bio Ibrahim is from Kwara State while Mr Ayodele Olawande is from Ondo State.

The duo of Dr. Ibrahaim and Mr. Olawande were nominated as minister of youths and minister of state for youths respectively,

The confirmation brings the total number of ministers that will serve in the administration of President Bola Tinubu to 48.

During the screening, Lawal collapsed after concluding his introduction, causing several people present to rush to his aid.

Lawal is the candidate who replaced former Governor Nasir El-Rufai, who was rejected by the Senate in August over a security report from the Department of State Services (DSS).
