The founder of Synagogue Church of All Nations, (SCOAN), Prophet Temitope Joshua, popularly known as TB Joshua has been buried.
Truetells Nigeria reports that the popular man of God was buried at the church’s premises after an internment service that had dignitaries from around the world.
TB Joshua’s corpse had on Thursday arrived at the church premises in the Ikotun-Egbe area of Lagos State.
The ECOWAS Court has asked the Federal Government to pay N30m to a popular activist and journalist, Agba Jalingo for ill-treatment and torture in Cross River state.
The judgment was delivered on Friday following a suit number ECW/CCJ/APP/10/2020 and brought by the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) on behalf of the journalist.
Recall that SERAP had dragged the government of Nigeria and Cross River state government to ECOWAS Court of Justice in Abuja “over the prolonged, arbitrary detention; unfair prosecution; persecution, and sham trial of journalist Agba Jalingo.”
Bandits have released the kidnapped six students and two staff members of Nuhu Bamali Polytechnic in the Zaria area of Kaduna State.
Naija News had reported the bandits had attacked the polytechnic on June 11, 2021, kidnapping the students, staff members and killing one student during the operation.
But in an interview with Channels Television on Friday, the spokesman of the institution, Abdullahi Shehu, said the victims were released on Thursday night at an undisclosed location in Kaduna.
Shehu added that the kidnapped students and staff members were released after their parents and relatives negotiated with the bandits.
Yoruba nation agitator, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, aka Sunday Igboho, has dragged the Muhammadu Buhari-led federal government before the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Naija News reports that the Sunday Igboho is demanding the unconditional release of his aides arrested by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) at his house in the Soka area of Ibadan on July 1.
Speaking to The PUNCH on Thursday, counsel for the Yoruba Nation agitator, Chief Yomi Aliyu (SAN) disclosed that he had filed an action before a Federal High Court in Abuja for the release of the 13 arrested persons.
The lawyer did not give the details of the suit, but he said a spokesman for Igboho, Olayomi Koiki, had issued a statement on Wednesday that the DSS did not allow lawyers to see Igboho’s aides in its custody.
Five youths who were arrested by the DSS for wearing #BuhariMustGo T-shirts at Dunamis Gospel Church, Abuja, have sued the secret police and the Senior Pastor of the church, Paul Enenche.
Naija News reports that the five detained youths are Henry Nwodo, Victor Udoka, Emmanuel Larry, Samuel Gabriel and Ben Manasseh.
The suits are marked FHC/ABJ/CS/631/2021, FHC/ABJ/CS/636/2021, FHC/ABJ/CS/637/2021, FHC/ABJ/CS/638/2021 and FHC/ABJ/CS/639/2021.
Joining the first and fourth respondents – the DSS and Enenche – in the suits are the DSS Director-General, Yusuf Bichi; and the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami (SAN) as second and third respondents respectively.

Gunmen suspected to be bandits have killed not less than forty-two people in five communities of Faru district in Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
The affected communities are Tsauni, Gudan-Baushi, Gidan-Adamu, Wari and Gudan-Maidawa.
A resident of the affected community identified as Malam Buba Faru said the bandits invaded the communities on over 100 motorcycles.
