One of the sons-in-law of President Muhammadu Buhari, Gimba Yau Kumo has been declared wanted by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).
Truetells Nigeria reports that Kumo who is married to Fatima Buhari was declared wanted by the anti-corruption agency in relation to the alleged misappropriation of funds under the national housing scheme.
Kumo, a former managing director of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria alongside two others – Mr. Tarry Rufus, and Mr. Bola Ogunsola were declared wanted by the ICPC in a statement published on the ICPC website on Thursday and signed by the spokesperson of the commission, Mrs Azuka C. Ogugua.

The Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom has accused opposers of the Southern Governors’ decision to ban open grazing of cattle of having a hidden agenda.

Recall that governors in 17 states of the southern part of Nigeria banned open grazing of cattle in the region.

Immediate past National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomole, has asked the National Assembly to quell the plan to remove the minimum wage from exclusive legislative list to concurrent list.
In an interview with Vanguard on Thursday, Oshiomhole said it is an insult for the APC-dominated assembly to entertain a bill seeking to remove the minimum wage from the exclusive legislative list.
The former President of Nigeria Labour Congress also berated state governors that have refused to implement the N30,000 new National Minimum Wage.
According to Oshiomhole, states that cannot implement the minimum wage should not exist.

Other demands included devolution of power, state police and new revenue allocation formula, among others which they believed would abate the cries of secession among different groups in the country.

The Nigerian Army has denied reports that Boko Haram terrorists distributed Ramadan gifts and cash to residents of Yobe and Borno States respectively.
Reports have emerged that a faction of the Boko Haram terrorist group loyal to the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) had distributed Ramadan welfare packages to some residents of Borno and Yobe States.
It is understood that the insurgents distributed food items including rice, beans, millet, maize, sugar, spaghetti as well as cash gifts to the residents.
The insurgents claim the gesture is to help the residents observe the Ramadan fast with ease.
Reacting in a statement the Director Army Public Relations Brigadier General Mohammed Yerima, described the reports as propaganda, coined to mislead the public.

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) led by Nnamdi Kanu has dismissed reports that the Nigerian Army captured the second-in-command to killed Commander Ikonso.
In a statement by IPOB’s publicity secretary, Emma Powerful, the pro-Biafra group stated that the man had issues with his traditional ruler who later gave him up a member of the Eastern Security Network (ESN).
IPOB described the purpoted arrest as “a blatant lie and a cheap propaganda to lay false claims to imaginary military prowess.”
The group declared that the said man was not an operative of ESN, adding that “Such a man is too old to be recruited into ESN let alone being Ikonso’s Second-in-Command.”
