A football player identified as Sodiq Adebisi has died after he reportedly slumped at the Dipo Dina International Stadium, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.
The 34-year-old was undergoing training along with other footballers on Saturday, Dec. 2, when he suddenly collapsed.
He was rushed to a state hospital in Ijebu-Ode but efforts to save him by a medical team proved abortive.
He was pronounced dead on the same day and his corpse has been deposited at the state mortuary in Ijebu-Ode.
