Nigerian Air Force Puts Up Presidential Aircraft For Sale, Invites Bids From Interested Parties

 

The Nigerian Air Force has put up a presidential aircraft – Falcon 900B – for sale.

 

It invited bids from businesses and interested Nigerians to acquire its Falcon 900B aircraft, which is in the presidential fleet.

 

An invitation to tender the sale of Nigerian Air Force Falcon 900B Aircraft, signed by the spokesman for the Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet for Chief of the Air Staff, said that the Federal Government had approved the sale.

 

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), NAF said, “In compliance with provisions of the Public Procurement Act 2007, the NAF hereby invites all interested parties to submit bids for purchase of the aircraft. The bids can be submitted by email or physically. If submitted by email, the bids are to be password protected and sent to dproc@airforce.mil.ng while the password is to be sent separately to dproc2@airforce.mil.ng.

 

“For physical submission, the quotations are to be enclosed in an envelope and sealed while the envelope is to bear the name and address of the interested company/entity as well as the description and reference to the request. It should also bear the statement, ‘Do Not Open Before 24 December 2023’.

 

“Please note that the bids would be processed immediately after expiration of the deadline for submission.

 

“Accordingly, late submission or submission without password would be considered as no bid. The aircraft is available at 307 EAG hangar. Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja for inspection by all interested parties from 1 to 24 December 2023.”

 

It, however, noted that any tender submitted by hand delivery or courier service must be delivered directly to the Directorate of Procurement Nigerian Air Force Headquarters not later than 24 December 2023.

 

Offers, according to the invitation are to be addressed to – the Chief of the Air Staff Headquarters Nigerian Air Force, Garki Area 7, Abuja.

 

The invitation highlighted that the aircraft has 16 passenger capacity with crew seating capacity (Detachable Jump Seat) three.

 

“Interested buyers should submit their closed bid to: The Chairman Committee for Sale of Falcon 900B Aircraft (NAF-961) Headquarters Nigerian Air Force Area 7 Muhammad Buhari Way Abuja FCT Nigeria

 

“Please Note: All bids should be quoted in (US$) All bid must be submitted not later than 24 December 2023,” it said.
