According to DailyPost, a chieftain of PDP, Michael Kpatuba broke the news via a post on his Facebook page on Saturday morning.
Zaka, reportedly died at about 3 am on Saturday after a fatal accident while on his way to his residence in Kuje.
He died alongside his personal security after some party activities at the city center.
The family is yet to confirm the unfortunate incident but a chieftain of the party, Michael, expressed sadness over the huge loss.
He wrote: “Dying Election day is really heartbroken to the FCT, PDP family.
“Rest in peace, Hon Zaka Sunday, FCT PDP Chairman”
Meanwhile, the Rivers State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has stated that the fate of the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, will be determined by voters in the state.
Recall that Governor Nyesom Wike has vowed not to support Atiku, with reports claiming that he had instructed his loyalist to campaign for the All Progressives Congress flagbearer, Bola Tinubu.
Speaking to The PUNCH on Friday, the PDP spokesman in the state, Ogbonna Nwuke, said the Rivers people were intelligent people and that they would make their choice at the polls.
