A faction of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) under the leadership of Nafiu Bala Gombe staged a protest on Thursday at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) headquarters.
The demonstrators urged INEC to respect a recent court judgment and maintain the “Status Quo Ante Bellum” in determining the party’s recognized leadership.
Joining Bala was ADC House of Representatives member Leke Abejide from Kogi State. The group also directed messages to the faction associated with David Mark, Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, calling on them to refrain from interfering with the party’s internal affairs.
Protesters marched with slogans emphasizing adherence to judicial rulings and the need for transparency in the electoral process.
