My Last Discussion With MohBad, Primeboy Opens Up To Police On Mohbad’s Death

Embattled Nigerian singer, Owodunni Ibrahim, aka Primeboy, who was declared wanted by the police and later turned himself in, has denied the claim that he was invited by the police but declined.

Truetells Nigeria reported on Wednesday that Primeboy was declared wanted and N1million bounty was placed on him over his refusal to honour police invitation in connection with the death of singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

SaharaReporters had earlier reported on Thursday that he had turned himself in to the police after he was declared wanted on Wednesday.

However, in an interview he granted to TVC News, Primeboy said he was shocked and surprised when he started receiving several calls that the police had declared him wanted and N1 million had been offered to anyone that would give information on his arrest.

In the three-minute interview, Primeboy described as crazy how people especially MohBad’s wife went to social media to start framing him up, adding that his death was more painful to him than most of the people accusing him.

Describing MohBad as his childhood friend, the Primeboy said that he was a stepmother, daddy, friend and everything to MohBad when he had issues with his stepmother in the past, adding that he took him into his family and his mother fed two of them.

He said, “It is a big lie that police called me and I refused to honour invitation. How will I receive a message from Police and refuse them? Even before all this wanted issue I had even want to turn myself, like not turning in I want to go and explain myself at the station because people started accusing me wrongly.

“So, but people that I called said I should not go anywhere that I should wait for them (police) to invite me. So, I keep waiting, waiting. Suddenly, I just found myself be wanted yesterday. People started calling me that I am wanted; for one million naira for who find me and I was shocked. I was surprised. I called my lawyer, I called family and they just said I should just calm down that nothing will happen so far I know nothing about it (MohBad’s death). So, I am here now.”

On his relationship with MohBad, he said “MohBad is my childhood friend, he is my friend like all those time his stepmother; no care I was his stepmother then, I was his Daddy, I was his friend and everything to him because he lived with me then. My mum feed two of us together.”

Asked whether he was with him the day he died, he said “No, I was not with him. We departed after that show because he chased me down from the car that was on Sunday. He called me on Friday to come over on the Island I don’t even know he has a show.

“So me getting to the Island he told me and we were gisting, having fun and next thing he said sorry, I did not tell you I have show at Ikorodu, I told him you did not tell me now. That day – Sunday the next day was my brother’s birthday he now said after the show I can invite my brother over and he will celebrate the birthday for him.”
