Nollywood actor Kunle Remi has voiced his frustration over soaring fuel prices and economic struggles in Nigeria. In a video shared on Instagram, he described the rising cost of petrol, persistent power outages, and transportation challenges as overwhelming for ordinary citizens.
Kunle revealed that he recently bought petrol for over ₦1,300 per litre and questioned why Nigeria, an oil-producing country, is among the first affected by international fuel crises. He also shared that some of his staff are finding it difficult to get to work due to rising transport costs.
“I’m blown away because I’m mentally stressed,” he said. “No light, expensive diesel and fuel, and workers struggling to come to work—it’s becoming unbearable.”
He criticized the nation’s dependence on underperforming refineries and called for serious discussions on the country’s economic challenges.
