Protests in demand of justice for late rapper and singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, have been taking higher dimension as it has spread to more states in the country.
SaharaReporters earlier reported that some youths on Tuesday stormed the Panseke area of Abeokuta, Ogun State capital to protest Mohbad’s death as they demanded justice for the late singer.
The youths who put on black attires to symbolise grieve, gathered in their numbers at the skating ground arena in Abeokuta carrying placards with inscriptions like #JusticeForMohbad, #Who off Light among others.
Recall that some days ago, some youths stormed some streets in the Ikorodu area of Lagos state to protest Mohbad’s death. The protesters held placards with various inscriptions including “We no go gree, justice for Mohbad.”
It was also gathered that some youths are still protesting around Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH) area of Lagos, while some youths are said to have gathered at Effurun Road in the Warri area of Delta State on Tuesday to demand justice for Mohbad.
SaharaReporters also gathered that some youths on Tuesday also stormed some streets in Benin City, Edo state capital to protest Mohbad’s death and demand justice for the late musician.
Since Mohbad, a former signee of Marlian Music, a record label owned by a singer and rapper, Azeez Faashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, died on Tuesday last week at the age of 27, there have been controversy surrounding the actual cause of his death.
SaharaReporter had reported that the Lagos State Police Command on Monday inaugurated a 13-man special investigation team to investigate Mohbad’s death, pointing out that the police might exhume the late singer’s body for autopsy.
