Joyce Sims Dies At 63

American R&B Singer, Joyce Sims, on Saturday, died at the age of 63.

Truetells Nigeria reports that her death was announced in a Facebook post by events organiser CJ Carlos, who also worked at Chelsea Football Club.

Although the cause of Joyce’s death was not revealed, CJ Carlos, recalled how the singer created beautiful songs in the 80 and also express condolence for her family.

He wrote: “Having spoken to her immediate family tonight, it’s with a heavy heart that I post this news Joyce Sims has passed away. Joyce was an amazing singer, songwriter who had so many hits in the 80s.

“As most of you know she was going to be one of our USA artist’s in Portugal next May. My heart goes out to her partner Errol and their children and close family.”

Joyce Sims shot to fame in 1987 when her single Come Into My Life reached the top 10 in the US and the UK.

Her first hit, ‘All and All’ made it to number six on the US dance chart and made the top 20 of the UK singles chart.

She went on to release several more tracks in the following years, such as Lifetime Love, Walk Away and Looking For a Love.
