The South Korean is certain that South Korea can defeat Ghana’s Black Stars if they accomplish two goals.
After defeating Uruguay in their first Group H match, South Korea had a strong start to the 2022 World Cup.
The 41-year-old also said that South Korea will need to control the Black Stars in the middle of the field and take risks.
The Seoul native was quoted by GHANASoccernet as saying on Joong Ang: “It would have been better if we had 3 points, but it was a very good match because it made us look forward to the next game in terms of performance.”
He also said, “I think we can go far.
“If we make up for two things against Ghana, victory is possible. And from the middle of the second half, the entire line was pushed back by the opponent, but we have to play more actively instead of lowering the line. If so, we can get 3 points in the match against Ghana.” he added.
In their group, four years ago, South Korea surprised Germany to go on to the second round which they anticipate doing the same in Group H when they play Ghana on Monday.
