Due to the ever-rising cost of fuel, the government has been encouraging Nigerians to switch to CNG.
The question is, are all the vehicles in Tinubu’s entourage, most especially the all-black armoured Cadillac Escalade SUV CNG-powered?

Presidential Car for the event – armored Cadillac Escalade SUV
Photos shared shows the moment President Tinubu arrived for the meeting at the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) in an all-black armored Cadillac Escalade ultra-luxury SUV.
First seen on January 15th at this year’s 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance Day held at the National Arcade, Eagle Square, Abuja, the armored Escalade combines both luxury and ruggedness in its DNA.
The imposing luxury SUV wears tonnes of armour plating and bulletproof glass, which allows the SUV to withstand attacks from powerful weaponry, including improved explosive devices (IEDs).

Cadillac has announced pricing for the new 2025 Escalade, with deliveries of the substantially updated SUV expected to begin by January 2025. The 2025 Escalade starts at $89,590 for the base Luxury model, a whopping $5700 jump over 2024, and prices are up across the board. Still, the 2025 Escalade receives upgrades like a standard 55-inch display that spans the dashboard, an available powered automatic driver’s door, standard Super Cruise, and assertive new LED lighting.
Above the Luxury trim sits the $98,790 Premium Luxury, which is up by $3600 versus the outgoing Escalade and adds adaptive dampers and a full-color head-up display. The $118,390 Premium Luxury Platinum and $118,890 Sport Platinum also see big price hikes, rising by $5700 and $6200, respectively. The Platinum trims come standard with the powered driver’s door, which opens automatically as the driver approaches with the fob and closes when the driver presses the brake. The $99,390 Sport trim sees a more modest increase of $1200.
The V-series is the top of the lineup. It packs a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 producing a potent 682 horsepower. At $161,990, the Escalade-V is $7700 more expensive than 2024. Upgrading from rear- to all-wheel drive costs an extra $3000 on every trim except the V-series, on which AWD is standard. Production kicks off later this year at General Motors’ Arlington Assembly plant in Texas.
